At Binding Hearts Ministries, we believe every precious life deserves to be remembered and every grieving parent deserves compassion. Through the simple gift of a comfort bear, prayer, and a community that cares, we seek to bring tenderness and hope to families navigating one of life's most heartbreaking losses.
Using My Grief to Support Others
Binding Hearts Ministries began out of our own heartbreak. In 2016 we lost our son Joshua through a miscarriage and a dear friend sent us a bear in his memory. That little bear reminded me that our baby’s life had so much purpose and someone remembered him with us.
We have grieved the loss of 8 precious babies and, with each loss, I always reached for that teddy bear. It has brought our family so much comfort and reminded us that we aren’t alone.
Now my daughter holds that sweet bear to sleep and lovingly calls it her “sissy bear.” We get to share with her about all her siblings in heaven and the promise that we get to see them again one day.
A comfort bear is a tangible reminder of a precious little life gone too soon. This ministry has brought so much healing to my own heart and has allowed me to honor my babies in heaven by helping others in their own grief.
